Les mer her.
Post.doc project: Climate adaptation by maintenance and upgrading of existing buildings
Jardar Lohne is engaged as a post doc in Klima 2050 and will be working with climate adaptation through maintenance and upgrading of existing buildings. Jardar will also join the research training team and contribute to the education of our PhD candidates. Read more about the project here.
sjekkhuset.no – Klimatilpasning for private huseiere
Les mer her.
PhD project: Landslide triggered by hydro-meteorological processess
Landslides triggered by hydro-meteorological processes are expected to occur more frequently in the future, due to increased frequency of extreme precipitation associated with climate change. To reduce the consequences of precipitation-induced landslides, a better understanding of the physical mechanisms of debris flows is required. The PhD research work of Petter Fornes will focus on numerical modelling of debris flows for improving both the prediction of run-out distance and the evaluation of mitigation measures that aim to reduce consequences. Read more about the project here.
Klima 2050 at Nordic Smart Cities Conference
What is it like to live and work in a smart city? How can your city and your community make your life easier, more attractive and more sustainable? Several Klima2050 researchers attended the NTVA Nordic Smart Cities and Communities Conference 6-8 September.
Disputation at University of Oslo
Master of Science in Geography Lynn D. Rosentrater will be defending her thesis for the degree of Ph.D. at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography at the University of Oslo. Klima 2050 has had a collaboration with her and contributed to the research. The thesis; Adaptation to Climate Change: Understanding the Contingent Nature of Spatial Vulnerability Assessments will be defended Thursday the 8th of September. Topic for the trial lecture is Supporting adaptation to Climate Change – what role for GIS? See here for more information.
Klima 2050 på klimatilpasningskonferanse i Bergen
4th Nordic Conference on Climate Adaptation "From Research to Actions and Transformation" er en viktig konferanse som henvender seg til forskere og beslutningstakere i offentlig og privat sektor. Klima 2050 partnerskapet har vært solid representert. Les mer om konferansen her.
PhD project: Flood risk management on small catchments
M.Sc. Aynalem Tsegaw Tasachew's PhD project is dealing with flood risk management on small catchments due to extreme storm events under future climate and land use changes.

Les mer i Byggeindustrien nr. 12/2016.
Les mer her.
